Information Visits and Dinner
Family spirit and hospitality are hallmarks of the Marist way of life.
And in keeping with those sentiments, we believe it’s important to reach out to boarding families by inviting them to an annual dinner near their homes. We gather in Innisfail, Port Douglas, the Tablelands and Mission Beach and further afield at Weipa, Thursday Island, the Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea.
Saints country dinners are highly anticipated where the warm welcome and sense of community shine through. They give boarding families the chance to get to know our staff and one another and allow the St Augustine’s boarding team to show appreciation to our boarding families for their continued support. These occasions are also an opportunity for those in remote areas who are considering boarding for their sons and daughters to meet our staff, and current boarding families are welcome to invite them along.
We notify parents well in advance of dates, times and venues.
