SPECIALTY SUBJECTS

Boys well-known interest in technology is catered for in our state-of-the-art technics building which houses the trade training centre.

We offer a wide variety of specialty subjects: Design, Engineering, Industrial Graphics Skills, Certificate I in Construction, Certificate II in Engineering Pathways and Applied Information Communication Technology at senior level. In Years 9 and 10 we offer technology electives in Design, Digital and Food. Students especially interested in hospitality can complete Certificate II in Kitchen Operations in Years 11 and 12.

Another specialty subject in the senior years is Film, Television and New Media. In this subject students can make short films, study direction as well as the Australian and independent film industries and foreign language films.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Saints students enjoy an extensive choice of co-curricular activities which caters for a wide range of talents and interests.

We offer our boys numerous opportunities to participate, persevere, progress and perform across several learning environments incorporating competitive, cultural, service and academic enrichment activities. 

The College offers a broad range of sports, cultural, club and service activities, so that every boy can participate, grow, be challenged and foster their personal creativity. 

With more than 30 activities on offer, boys are bound to find something that piques their interest and enhances their learning both in and out of the traditional classroom.

Each activity is designed to extend each student's understanding of himself: his capabilities, his perspective and his appreciation of the value of his commitment and contribution. These are underpinned by strong values which support success through involvement, enjoyment, growth, teamwork, leadership and social skills all fostered to enhance overall psychological development.
